Clive Mullings is a past student of Kingston College, where he served as Deputy Head-boy and Editor of the school magazine.

 

He later attended law school at the University of The West Indies, Cave Hill campus, where he attained an Upper Second Class Honours Degree.

 

While at University he was President of the Law Society and President of the Jamaica Association of students at Cave Hill.  He was also Student Representative on the Academic Council of the University of the West Indies and The Faculty of Law.

 

Mr. Mullings is a former President of the Cornwall Bar Association, and has served as the Chairman of Disciplinary Committee of Western Regional Health Authority.

He is also the former senior partner in the law firm Clive Mullings and Company.

 

He is the Member of Parliament for West Central St. James which he has represented since 2002. Within the Jamaica Labour Party, Mr. Mullings has served as Deputy General Secretary and Opposition Spokesman on Mining, Energy and Telecommunication.

 

At present, he is the Minister of the Energy.

 

A father of four (4) children, Mr. Mullings enjoys motor sports, football, reading and listening to music.

 

His motto is, whatever you do must be assessed against one principle, “Is it fair and is it just?”
